Description

Running a pawn shop can be interesting, exciting, even dangerous, which makes it an ideal subject for a TV show. The Pawn Shop is Poland’s first TV series revolving around pawn shops and pawn shop owners.

The show’s characters include pawn shop owner Kazimierz (Zbigniew Buczkowski), his family, staff and customers. Viewers follow the lives of an array of pawnshop customers, including elderly people who need money to make ends meet, and youngsters turning up to pawn their laptops or cell phones for a few days to get some cash for a party. Patrons include thieves, cops and nutty deal hunters. Each episode tells a different story, often involving a crime theme. Humor features too.
