CANAL+ Discovery’s Polish documentary superproduction, Powrót do przeszłości/Re-enactors!, which is executively produced by ATM Grupa S.A., has been acclaimed by the international jury of this year’s Eutelsat TV Awards. The series has been selected as one of the four finalists in the Best Programme category.

18 re-enactments, 58 towns, 250 kilograms of explosives, 10 thousand re-enactors and more than 100 military vehicles – these are just some of the numbers behind the making of the documentary series Powrót do przeszłości/Re-enactors!. The documentary follows re-enactors of historic events – extraordinary Poles whose passion for history and determination allow them to conjure up the past in the present. Along with journalist and actor Krzysztof Unrug, viewers are transported to the sites of great battles such as the Battle of Grunwald, the Battle of Cedynia, D-Day, the 1944 Warsaw Rising and clashes between the Romans and Barbarians.

The second season of the series airs on Tuesdays at 9pm on CANAL+ Discovery.
