The Pack is filming its second season in the Bieszczady Mountains

The set of the new season of the HBO series The Pack has been buzzing with activity with directors Kasia Adamik and Jan P. Matuszyński and actors Leszek Lichota, Aleksandra Popławska, Dagmara Bąk and Matylda Damięcka on location. Tomasz Augustynek returns as cinematographer.

‘The Bieszczady Mountains are steeped in magic, charm and mystery. For me, it is one of the many reasons why it is worth meeting The Pack. With the first season I was just a viewer, but now I’m relishing the chance to enter the world of the border guards as director and I see how much we have yet to tell’, says Jan P. Matuszyński, one of the series’ directors, the helmer of the documentary Deep Love and the multi-award winning feature The Last Family. ‘Here we confront nature at every turn – in the snow, in the mud, in the woods and mountains – which gets us in the groove to tell an intriguing story which is a shade darker than before. I think everyone will be surprised with the direction we’ve taken. I was on the set every day, knee-deep in snow, as happy as a kid. It was a beautiful adventure. The outcome will be there to admire by everyone watching the series.

Filming for The Pack started on 9 October and will wrap up next year. Kasia Adamik (Without Secrets, The Pack 1) and Jan P. Matuszyński (Deep Love, The Last Family) share the director’s seat. Cinematography is again by Tomasz Augustynek. Bogumił Lipski and Izabela Łopuch (executive producer) are HBO Polska producers. Johnathan Young is supervising producer for HBO Europe. Artur Kowalewski and Andrzej Muszyński are in charge of production for ATM GRUPA.

The second season of HBO’s The Pack contains 6 episodes. The new episodes are set to premiere in 2017.
