Second season of Girls from Lviv off to a flying start

Girls from Lviv was the most watched drama show this weekend. TV2 aired the first episode of the new, second season of the show on Sunday night, September 3. Despite a two-year hiatus, the production of ATM GRUPA subsidiary Studio A drew more than 3 million viewers!

The premiere episode of the new season of Girls from Lviv, directed by Wojciech Adamczyk, attracted more than 3 million viewers. It also scored the highest share among drama shows, 19.49% (4−0 demographic).

In addition to the actresses playing the four central characters, the cast features a host of stars including Marta Lipińska, Dorota Segda, Marian Dziędziel, Stanisław Brejdygant, Cezary Żak, Krzysztof Stelmaszyk, Karol Pocheć, Monika Jarosińska, Magdalena Pociecha, Piotr Zelt, Sławomir Pacek, Bogdan Kalus, Mateusz Rusin and Piotr Ligienza.

Filming for the second season of Girls from Lviv began on May 16, and wrapped on August 23. Apart from Warsaw and its environs, the crew shot in Przemyśl, which doubled for Lviv. The new episodes pick up the stories of the four main characters, Ulyana, Sveta, Olya and Polina. There will also be new characters and funny, moving story lines, some with a criminal twist. The show is produced by ATM GRUPA subsidiary Studio A.

Episode 2 is due to broadcast on TVP1 on September 10 at 8:25 p.m.
