ATM Grupa has started filming How to Live Without Going Crazy, a new comedy from Tomasz Konecki – the director of the Polish box office hits Lejdis and Testosteron
ATM Grupa, Poland’s leading independent production studio, has begun shooting its latest feature comedy Jak żyć, żeby nie zwariować (How to Live Without Going Crazy), directed by Tomasz Konecki – the creator of box office hits such as Lejdis, Ciało (The Body), and Testosteron. Magdalena Zielska, known for the acclaimed Netflix original series Absolute Beginners, is responsible for the production.
The film stars Magdalena Popławska (Usta Usta, Osiecka, Prosta historia o miłości / A Simple Love Story) and Piotr Rogucki (Minuta ciszy / A Minute of Silence, Wróbel, Zabij mnie, kochanie! / Kill Me, Darling!).
Popławska plays Anka – a recently divorced mother of two who is doing her best to piece her life back together while juggling parenting, a demanding job, and a surprising new passion for stand-up comedy.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Warsaw’s riverside Powiśle district, the film offers a witty and slightly ironic take on second chances, female independence, and the art of reinventing yourself – at any age.
Producer Magdalena Zielska comments:
“I’m a producer with over 20 years of experience – and a mother of two. This film is for women who carry the weight of the world on their shoulders every single day and finally choose themselves. It’s a story about the chaos of everyday life, finding freedom after divorce, and the strength that comes with starting over. It’s honest, funny, and full of heart. This isn’t just a comedy; it’s a celebration of female power!”.
Filmed in the Republic of Poland with the support provided th rough the act on financial support for audio-visual production by the Polish Film Institute and funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
